EMW Ladies Day

On 11th March, I made my way to Libanus Church, Morriston for the annual EMW Ladies’ Half Day Conference. I was warmly greeted and handed a goody bag which included an excellent little book on how to approach Bible reading and some sweets!

The Church was buzzing with ladies chatting to one another. It was an encouragement to be reminded that even in these days, God has his people and his work is continuing in many different places. The sound of around one hundred Christian Ladies singing so sweetly to the Lord was a wonderful blessing.

Rebecca Thomas a Pastor’s wife and mother of three, spoke twice from John 15 about our identity as those who have been grafted into the true vine, the Lord Jesus Christ, and what that looks like in our lives. Her talks were warm, insightful, relevant, detailed, practical and a blessing to all gathered.

The question and answer session with three ladies of different ages from Cornerstone Church was very helpful. The ladies spoke with wisdom and provided many practical suggestions and personal examples of how to know and experience the Lord whilst busy with family and work commitments. There was time to browse the bookstall provided by the Christian Bookshop in Swansea Market.

What a blessing the morning had been and an encouragement to continue abiding in Christ amid the busyness and challenges of modern life.
