Induction Service for John Woolley

Updated: Nov 10, 2021

God is Good was the cry of those attending the induction service for John Woolley as he accepted the call to Pastor Libanus Church Morriston. On the 6th November 2021 over 150 people joined together to celebrate God’s goodness and faithfulness in the calling of a Pastor for the people of Libanus. The service was officiated by Peter Milsom with a reading from Mervyn Neal and preaching from Andy Christofides.

John Woolley grew up in a non-Christian home in South London, coming to faith in Jesus as a 19 year old. He is a primary school teacher by profession. He has subsequently spent nearly thirty years in Christian ministry. First as a London City Missionary, then pastoring churches in London and Cardiff. John and his wife Deborah have been married for nearly forty years and they have four children and six grandchildren.

One of our Deacons’ David Hadley gave a history of the call and James Hepburn gave a commendation from John’s previous church Bethel in Cardiff. The Leaders of Libanus gathered round John for the Act of formally setting him apart then Mervyn Neal and Timothy Howell prayed for John.

We would like to thank everyone who attended for their fellowship and friendship over many years especially to those from AECW and EFCC Churches. We are so grateful for everyone who has been praying for us as a Church throughout this time.

The Full induction service and induction sermon are available on our church YouTube Channel for those who were unable to attend or wish to be reminded of the great event in the future. We are excited to see what God has planned in the future.
